Congratulations to the winners of the 2015 Music Hackathon at by:Larm Interactive Festival: Martin Braaten Grina, Nicolaj Brody Pedersen, Martin Abelson Sahlen and Almir Mesic.
During the 24 hours the team worked on the challenge provided by Phonofile, the Nordic’s biggest digital distributor for music from independent record labels (see www.phonofile.com). Phonofile challenged the Hackathon’s contestants to make Phonofile Trends, a daily stats report grabbing from diverse Media and SoMe APIs, adapted to the Phonofile users. The service should be embeddable for use in the record labels’ work area on the Phonofile Label Login platform.
The Hackathon wouldn’t have come together without the help of our partners, Department of Musicology and Department of Informatics at the University of Oslo and NOTAM, Norwegian Center for Technology and The Arts.
We could not have done it without a wonderful group of judges, Eric Eitel, Carie Huges (Ticketmaster), Torgeir Waterhouse (ICT-Norway), Laila Dahl (NIPO/Patentstyret) and Kristian Nymoen (Associate Professor in music technology at the University of Oslo)
Last but not least, we want to thank the people that provided the Music Hackathon challenges: Trond Tornes (Phonofile), Carie Huges (Ticketmaster), Jonas Barsten and Ida Faldbakken (Musikkbyen Oslo).
Stay tuned for info about 2016 Music Hackathon.
THANK YOU!
